Consortium members at the panel at EASST in Madrid

Jutta Weber (Paderborn University) and Christoph Ernst (University of Bonn) organized a panel together with Katherine Chandler (Georgetown Univerity) at the European Association for the Studies of Science and Technology (EASST) in Madrid (6.-9. July 2022) on the subject “Meaningful Human Control? Sociotechnical Imaginations of AI, Drone Swarms and the Future of Warfare“. In two sessions, presentations were given by Zacharie Boubli (Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers, Paris), Ivan Chaar Lopez (University of Texas at Austin), Andreas Immanuel Graae (Royal Danish Defence College), Thomas Bächle (University of Bonn) & Jascha Bareis (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), Sofie van der Maarel (Radboud University and Netherlands Defence Academy), Anna-Katharina Ferl (Peace Research Institute Frankfurt), Hendrik Bender (University Siegen). The presentations were bracketed by contributions of the three organisers of the panel. Both sessions were attended by many participants of the conference with great interest.
